Quartier Heidestrasse grows higher and higher. Thus the number of leases for the occupation of the mixed quarter grows as well. A lease for the hotel spaces in the project unit QH Spring has been signed with Althoff Hotels. Althoff Hotels will thus open its second design and lifestyle hotel under the URBAN LOFT badge in Berlin. It will offer 180 rooms in some 5,700 m² of total area. The Quartier hotel directly adjacent to the Berlin Central Station is to be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2021 and April 2022. The lease is for 20 years with option for two extensions of five years each.

Thomas Bergander, managing director of Taurecon Real Estate Consulting GmbH, emphasises: “We are happy that in the future we will be able to offer guests and visitors to Berlin a comfortable and well-connected hotel experience in the Quartier Heidestrasse. The location of QH Spring is characterised among other things by the proximity to the government and major business and trade associations as well as numerous cultural institutions. URBAN LOFT fits optimally in the Quartier Heidestrasse and its environment.“

Frank Marrenbach, CEO, partner in Althoff Hotels, explains: “The individualistic structure of QH Spring, the proximity to renowned, global enterprises as well as to touristic hotspots creates the perfect location for the second hotel with our URBAN LOFT badge. We have a strong partner on our side with Taurecon Real Estate Consulting, supporting us as we joint our URBAN LOFT brand with the Berlin’s DNA at this strategically important junction in the city.“

Quartier entree at the Berlin Central Station
QH Spring offers an urban mixture place for URBAN LOFT in the Heidestrasse, for a child day-care centre as well as approx. 260 rental apartments. Its 12-storey residential tower will also give the area a striking accent visible from afar. Five commercial units for retailing with spaces from 80 m² to 200 m² complete the urban mix. QH Spring comprises about 27,800 square meters of gross floor area (GFA). CKRS Architekten produced the design for the luxurious three-dimensional concrete façade with fine metal elements. The greened inner courtyard will be used by the hotel, child day-care centre and the tenants.

Digital Quartier Heidestrasse
Quartier Heidestrasse is among the city’s large development projects. Here a lively, urbane, digital and sustainable quartier is being created on some 8.5 hectares where all forms of modern work, living and habitation can be combined. In the course of several construction phases, a total of approximately 191,500 sqm GFA is being erected for office and commercial space, including some 940 apartments. Along with QH Spring the other project segments, QH Core and QH Track, are under construction.
